Our Toddler Program provides age-appropriate stimulation to all areas of the brain.

A partnership capable of amazing feats

Toddlers are widely misunderstood. At Shichida early education, you will learn how best to support your child’s growing brain through hands-on play.

Shichida toddlers may spontaneously exhibit natural abilities when their boundaries are respected and their curiosity natured by parents. Such abilities include memorising large amounts of information, speaking in full sentences, reading and solving puzzles.

On top of executive functioning skills like concentration, self-control and working memory, your child will hone their empathy, manners and imagination.

At Shichida early education, toddler classes are filled with games, activities, music and toys. Your child will be too busy having fun to realise how much they are learning!

Toddlers learn:

Shichida Australia early learning program for toddlers

The Shichida Australia early learning program for toddlers is designed by early learning experts and based on over 60 years of scientific research.

The fun, engaging curriculum incorporates the best concepts to foster brain development for children between 1 year – 3 years old.

From 6 months to 3 years old, our programs primarily concentrate on “input” for your child by focusing on observation and participation.

How toddlers learn

Toddlers learn key skills including problem solving, concentration, self-control and working memory, numeracy and literacy in a variety of ways.

  • Observation –  keenly watching things that are going on around them
  • Through listening to conversations and songs
  • By asking lots of questions
  • Trying new and challenging activities
  • Practising the skills they learn through repetition

Most of a child’s language development takes place during the toddler period. They are linking words together to form coherent conversation. For this reason, this short window of time is critical for learning language.

Q+A: Toddler classes with Shichida

Shichida early learning programs for toddlers deliver a mix of auditory, visual and tactile activities that will enable your child to retain focus throughout the entire duration of the class.

Examples of activities for toddlers include;

  • 2D and 3D puzzles games to develop critical thinking skills.
  • Using flashcards to enhance your toddler’s learning ability. The unique way we use flashcards in our toddler classes helps them process information as images and develop the connection between the left and right side of the brain.
  • Educational songs and counting activities to encourage mental mathematics ability and fortify their understanding of numeracy.

We use a layering approach in lessons. This means learning concepts will become more complicated over time.

Our toddler education programs are offered in 6 locations across VIC and NSW. See the list of locations for Shichida Early Learning centres here.

Enrolling your child in an early learning program for toddlers will help instil a strong academic foundation, enhance emotional awareness and encourage a positive attitude towards learning.

Through planned activities and play-based learning, toddler learning helps your child strengthen fine motor, numeracy and literacy skills.

Developing these competencies in the toddler years will help them excel their development, reach developmental milestones, boost confidence and learn to work independently and with others.
