Our Early Learning Classes in Doncaster
Our Doncaster early learning centre has supported local families for more than a decade and is home to a team of 18 educators and administrative staff. Located in the office tower within Westfield Doncaster, the centre offers the convenience of a shopping-centre location in a quieter setting away from the main retail areas.

Baby Classes in Doncaster (6 to 12 months)
Babies learn through a gentle sequence of sounds, textures, songs, visual activities and simple games. Classes are limited to six babies, allowing each child to participate at their own pace while a parent learns practical ideas to use between classes.

Toddler Classes in Doncaster (1 to 3 years)
Toddlers move through a lively sequence of short activities, including songs, flashcards, games and hands-on tasks. The varied pace introduces vocabulary, early numeracy, memory and fine motor skills while keeping children actively involved throughout the class.

Kinder Classes in Doncaster (3 to 5 years)
Kinder classes bring together early literacy, numeracy, memory, problem-solving and creative thinking. Preschooler activities become increasingly challenging as children learn to follow instructions, think independently and approach new tasks with confidence. New students must enrol before their fifth birthday.

Kids Classes in Doncaster (5 to 9 years)
Children who started Shichida before turning five can continue into pre-primary and primary classes, building on earlier learning through speed reading, mental maths, advanced memory activities and critical thinking.
What do Parents Say?
What is the Shichida Method?
The Shichida Method is a research-tested whole-brain training program for children aged 6 months to 9 years old, leveraging the “Golden Period” of development. It uses fun, fast-paced, multisensory activities to nurture both IQ and EQ, building memory, literacy, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.

Each 50-minute class moves through 20 to 25 carefully planned activities. The short, purposeful format keeps the lesson varied while introducing skills across memory, language, numeracy, fine motor development and imagination. Children are not expected to master every activity straight away; skills are revisited and extended as they progress.
One parent participates throughout the class, giving them an opportunity to see how their child learns and understand the purpose behind the activities. Parents also leave with practical ideas they can use at home during the week.
The Shichida Method was developed by Japanese educator Professor Makoto Shichida in 1958. Since the first Australian centre opened in 2009, more than 18,000 families have attended Shichida classes.

Preparing for school means building confidence alongside early literacy and numeracy. At Shichida, children practise listening, following instructions and taking turns, while developing memory, fine motor skills and independent thinking through varied activities.
For families considering Doncaster Primary, Birralee Primary, St Gregory the Great, Doncaster Gardens or Beverley Hills Primary, these skills provide a foundation for the transition to school. Children have regular opportunities to learn alongside others, try new tasks and grow familiar with a structured classroom routine.
